Founders Andi and Heidi Brun, husband and wife, are real wilderness freaks. Back in 1981, they built a little cabin in the Norwest Territories of Canada 100 miles away from anything answering to the name civilization, and lived there for nine months. No power, plumbing, grocery or hardware and no human neighbors. Lots of geese, however, and that's why the Canada Goose is Exped's logo. Any piece of equipment labeled with that goose is honkin' good, for sure.
Andi is responsible for the R&D of everything in Exped's continually expanding line of products, and Heidi is Product Manager and pretty much the boss of the company. Though business keeps them busy, it also allows them to get out in the wilderness a fair bit. They live the life, and they've packed Exped with other like-minded outdoors fanatics, assuring that the company's reputation as a leader in innovative, functional equipment is here to stay.
